| 406411 | 2005-11-22 09:29:00 | Ok having to change a few things at my house and one of them is my msn name - regular name being discarded........ so made a new one, and am running both as a trial to start with, but can ether have contacts on one name at a time, cannot add contacts to both names at the same time? so effectively cannot be signed in both at same time? this is run by Trillian........ :illogical not actually msn. as i havent told all contacts new details yet, thought i best do that before deleting old name.... but cannot add them to new ones for some reason? or can move them by drag and drop but they dont seem to establish new connection? clear as mud? yep. same here. ok just to clue ya in a bit more, currently using an xtra addy, now going to be using a gmail addy why the strife you think? yahoo seems to be ok with this on trilly but not msn? :illogical beetle |

| 406414 | 2005-11-22 10:03:00 | so signed in at once with different email addresses? yes this is possible, but requires a little bit of tweaking. you will need to enable polygamy, you can do this by either A-Patch (apatch.alphalink.com.au) or Mess Patch (http://www.mess.be) |

| 406420 | 2005-11-22 20:46:00 | Beetle is using Trillian so it's a breeze to have multiple MSN accounts running simultaneously - I just tried it . ;) :D OK Beet, you can't merge all your contacts from your first account to your new account, you have to add all your contacts one by one to the new one BUT it's easy enough to do by just right-clicking each contact and choosing "Add to > new account name" . Both accounts have to be running at the time, of course . Easy peasy . :) |
