| 406358 | 2005-11-29 08:16:00 | P4 processor in a laptop is not a good combination :) I personally would wait for the higher clocked Yonah dual cores to appear in laptops rather than buy now. How about Dell? 9300 Can get a GeForce 6800 if you choose the right one. Around the $3k-$3.5k mark I know Dell aren't that great but its better than shelling out for a Toshiba that costs the same but doesn't have the same specs right? Although my HP laptop isn't exactly a desktop replacement at 1.73Ghz, but its still powerful enough to run AoE3 easily. I think this laptop retails around the $2.5k mark with the 1.86Ghz processor now. Model: HP Compaq nx8220: PM740; 512MB DDR2; 64MB ATi X-600; 60GB 5400rpm; DVD+/-RW (Removable); 2.7kg; 2.8-3cm thick; 15.4" WXGA w/autodimming screen (saves power); 3.5-4hrs battery life (1.5-2hrs gaming from my experiences) |
