406406 2005-11-24 08:35:00 Hey Guys. :)

Just sitting here and had a thought, SLI will be useless in the future when video cards exceed the 8X bandwith available to each PCIE slot in SLI, it would be faster with just one video card above 8X.

This is just a thought I am not sure if I am right or not so could you please tell me?

Thanks :)

Its 16x.
And so what? By then you'll want to upgrade stuff again.
When you bought your first ISA card - did you worry about the future PCI cards?

When you bought your first ISA card - did you worry about the future PCI cards? But in SLI they both run at 8x

This will be my first computer that I have gotten (myself (the other two were old work computers that got replaced)) thats worth upgrading (in the fairly far future) but still I am working very hard for this and it is going to be all my own :D :D
