| 406312 | 2005-11-22 01:46:00 | Hmm any ? x's or !'s in device manager? Nothing conflicting? How did you install the driver? Or have u tried reinstalling the driver? From a setup.exe file on a cd, or from device manager, using an inf file? XP had/has a similar prob, but it used to bring up a message , like denied access, cant remember the exact error /message. You had to go into the registry, and give it permission, so the driver could install properly. |

| 406313 | 2005-11-22 01:54:00 | no there is NOTHING in device manager.........in windoze anyway..its BLANK ........completely BLANK.............. however as I've already stated all shows up nicely in device manager in SAFE mode............yes however oddly in windoze the modem has a little control applet shows up in the system tray which tends to suggest it is installed but in controlpanel/modems theres NOTHING and device manager remains BLANK.......... |

| 406314 | 2005-11-22 02:03:00 | OK delete the modem entry in safe mode reboot, and then see if it'll reinstall / ask for the drivers. And try and reinstall the latest version of the modem from whatever site. If 2k asks for the driver. What were the names of the spyware/viruses, you removed exactly? |

| 406316 | 2005-11-22 03:13:00 | I would get Hijackthis ( . merijn . org/files/hijackthis . zip" target="_blank">www . merijn . org) Unzip this file into its own folder, run it scan, and copy and paste the log here . See what this spyware / viruses, may have left behind . |
