407331 2005-11-25 03:08:00 Hello everyone
OK So There was a problem with our modem then the guy found out the modem was knocked out of place inside the case, he done a system restore and it worked. Now our camera isnt working, NOTHING to do with image devices on our computer works at all! Everytime we try to load a device it says windows could not load the installer for image. We try to install the driver again, then that annoying pop up comes up. We cant even uninstall the image driver to reinstall it again! Something is seriously corrupted, can ANYBODY help!? We cant load absolutley any pictures on to the computer OR use the webcam! The usb IS connected but that annoying pop up always comes up and there is no way we can fix it! Can anybody help, this is driving me crazy!
Any help is more appreciated than anything!!
PLEASE!!

now that's peculiar............why did he need to do a system restore ?......having the modem out of the slot shouldn't have resulted in needing a system restore i cant quite understand that......

407333 2005-11-25 03:48:00 Who knocked it out? And how? Its screwed in. And I'm with drspy - whats software got to do with hardware banging around in the case?
Perhaps the modem banging around has dmagaed something else.
Get the system restore idiot to sort it or refund what he charged you.

407334 2005-11-25 07:42:00 i'm with drcspy- anyway, a knocked out modem would have shown up on windows as disconnected, that d*** should have known that at least maverickoc (7240)
407335 2005-11-25 07:43:00 just try undoing the system restore maverickoc (7240)
407336 2005-11-25 10:21:00 Mother's previous 4 posts don't really impress regarding the flow of information from her end.
But maybe those of you willing to help will get more feedback this time..?
So maybe she could start by confirming whether this " 65 year-old grandmother" did move from Windows 95 to Win98?
And what she did about anti-virus?
(In threads she started but didn't finish)
Good luck.
