| 407080 | 2005-11-24 19:52:00 | Is there anyway to download an older version of MSN Messenger from somewhere? My wife has v7.5.0299 on her PC and it is “glugged” up with adverts and rubbish. I still have v 7.0.0816 on my PC and it is not too bad. We both run the add on Plus and find that excellent for voice notifications of when family and friends come on line. Appreciate any comments |

| 407082 | 2005-11-24 20:19:00 | the problem of useing old vers is the holes in them get exploited quite often and sometimes the network gets changed so the old vers won't work on it. how about a 3rd party IM chat prog such as trillian (http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/). |

Good luck in getting any older versions to run. ;) I wanted to use the older version that I have here but it insists on trying to download the latest version and won't run the old one. :( |

| 407087 | 2005-11-24 22:22:00 | firewall is irrelevant it's messenger it'self .........did you try that file I put up for you ?..........if you download that and run it on the system with messenger 7.5 it'll give you options to remove the advertising and etc and run multiple messengers .........it does work I've got it on my system and I dont get ads etc..... | drcspy (146) | ||

The top wide panel "Important announcemess.be" theres a link to Mess Patch - Get that. Highly recomended to clean your msn from the garbage (ads, dynamic backgrounds, etc) Reverting to 7.0 wont save u any system resources and 6.5 will barely either. |
