| 407060 | 2005-11-24 09:21:00 | Hi, Not sure what has caused this but from today my dvd writer wont stay closed. I havn't installed anything new, just decided today to listen to a music CD and the tray would not stay closed. I close it and 1 - 2 seconds later it will open. I thought it might have been the disc but it doesnt matter what type of disc I try or even without a disc it will consistently stay open. I have tried uninstalling (software only not physically), updated firmware. Tried nearly every different type of disc. I can after about 10 times close it without a disc inside. But the next time I open it she does the same thing. It should still be under warranty - bought totally new machine March '05 but want to check everything I can before I go back to store. Anyone else had this problem? Cheers |

| 407062 | 2005-11-24 09:33:00 | Could it be due to virus? :rolleyes: Cheers :) Have already run adaware & spybot, they came out clean . AVG is scheduled every morning 8am but this only started few hours ago so could be . Might run manual scan now . |
