407366 2005-11-25 06:50:00 When 'My computer" is opened, two hard drives, each 40GB, C: and D: appears, buut when the computer was pulled apart, there was only a 80GB hard drive. How is this possible? Thanks. zahmad (8963)
407367 2005-11-25 06:55:00 its called partitioning. the hardrive is split into multiable partitions. tweak'e (69)
407368 2005-11-25 06:57:00 The Hard Drive has been split into two seperate "Partitions"- A Partition is an area of allocated space. For example, my laptop has two partitions for it's 80gig HD- One is for The System files, thenb the other is for all of My Docs. maverickoc (7240)
