| 407069 | 2005-11-24 20:58:00 | Make sure the document you are trying to rename is not open in Word, close Word before you rename. Try a reboot, then see if you can rename without opening the file. If that dosent work put your steel caps, ear muffs and hardhat on and post back, I will then give further instructions. |

Just to be clear here,I,that is to say SWMBO has right clicked on word docs in documents and seems to have ignored the warning ïf you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable. |

| 407071 | 2005-11-24 21:31:00 | So if you are renaming the files from within explorer etc, you must ensure that you keep (or add if it has now gone), the ".doc" on the end of the filename. Otherwise word will no longer 'recongise' the file as a word document. | wuppo (41) | ||
