408247 2005-11-28 01:55:00 I'm looking at getting an external hdd enclosure. It will be used with a laptop and will probably get quite warm with the use and enviroment. It will also need its own power cable and have to be both usb2.0 and firewire compatible. Just wondering if anybody has any recommendations?

I've seen the Pleiades on trademe, but they use a 'passive cooling' system which I don't know how well that will work...

I appreciate everyones help.

Thanks.

If someone could point in the right direction of maybe a review site that would be much appreciated... I have googled but to no avail...

Thanks again.

408249 2005-11-29 08:01:00 ascent has them.

make sure you get the ones that have an external power adaptor/plug thingy (where it gets it's power from) they are better....

with hard drives and the valuable data they have, its best to buy brand new and with warrenty...
