| 408250 | 2005-11-27 22:22:00 | I have a computer that I ran seatools desktop diagnostic program. The results stated: "Critical errors found in index" It also had one bad sector. What is Critical errors found in index and what action would be suggested to take? |

| 408251 | 2005-11-28 01:43:00 | Run SCandisk or chkdsk (thorough mode) over it. That should fix the index error - bad sectors is the HDD itself usually - turn on S.M.A.R.T in your BIOS and it will flag them as not to be used. Or just RMA the drive if it is still uner warranty. |
