408009 2005-11-27 00:19:00 Can someone, please, look in their April 2005 cd rom of pc world and look for an application that can change the monitor settings (etc). I am pretty sure it is in the april edition Gabpoll (7710)
408010 2005-11-27 05:16:00 April 2005 disk has more than one option on monitors..
You may have to be more specific.

Monitor Asset Manager 1.22 is " a monitor information utility that gives detailed technical information about your monitor ....& operating system." It saves reports for future reference.

The most likely is MultiRes 1.49.

It provides you with a free & simple solution for changing resolution, colour depth & refresh rate....allows you to create shortcuts to particular settings & if you are a confident PC user, you can make various adjustments using the Windows command line interface.

There is also DisplayMate for Windows v1.30.
It is a demo with 6 test patterns & help screens for setting up your display....Runs at any resolution, colour depth & screen shape or aspect ratio..noting the full product is much more powerful.

Is that what you wanted to know?

So I think the matter is dealt with, as a download link was supplied.

Just a pity the OP didn't return to the double post and say so, would save those wanting to help from some confusion.

408012 2005-11-27 05:38:00 I have just found that you have another thread running on this same topic.
It would've been a help to know that background before I began looking. Best to keep adding to the same one.
I see that Terry, who understands such things better than me, has already suggested Advanced Gamma Corrector, so you may be interested in PowerStrip 3.57, which is also on the April disk.
It has a variety of features, accessing your graphics board from your system tray.
As you may realise, this topic is one I've not needed to learn as yet. You may as well be talking Swahili to me...

P.S. I suggest you stick with the other thread, which is longer - unless some kind Mod does a merge of the two?

Our typing crossed again - but you're faster than me.
