| 409123 | 2005-11-30 21:36:00 | Hi, I have a P4 3ghz Machine, 80gb hdd, 512mb ram, DVD+RW, and have been having problems with it. It would start up all the time when you pressed the button. Then the other night it stopped completly. Then last night i was looking around forums on the internet, and it said that the Demension 4600 (which is what ive got) uses a 250w PSU!!!! and that 11-18 months after purchase (All the 4600's ive read about were bought in about Oct-Dec 2003), the PSU would die because it couldnt supply the power needed. So i put in a 400w that im borrowing, it goes perfectly now, and i need to buy a new one now. How powerful should the PSU be that i buy? Thanks Daniel |

It works fine, with this case . 1 DVDRW, 1 SATA, 1 ide, tuner, PCI firewire card, modem, internal USB 2 card reader, the videocard, and 4 fans . (1 on the CPU, one on the back of the case, and 2 on the PSU) . |
