409030 2005-11-30 21:32:00 Just want to know if DDR-2 modules will actually work in Sempron/Athlon64 mobos? I seem to recall that the memory controllers of the AMD processors don't support DDR-2 yet, so using DDR-2 memory in an Athlon64/Sempron setup is no good? xmojo1 (4630)
409031 2005-11-30 21:49:00 Unless the manual for the mobo specifically says it supports DDR2, I doubt it'll work.

It looks like DDR2 is 240 pin, DDR is 184, so DDR2 wont fit in/on a mobo that uses DDR anyway.
