408418 2005-11-28 21:05:00 Having problems with NAV 2006 installation. Says write error. Disk is probably full when I click the install button. Running XP pro with NTFS. Have tried to run defrag, defrag in safe mode, deleting my temp files. Ran CCleaner and I have used the Symantec Removal tool to remove my old NAV software...Any suggestions pnapoli1 (9323)

408420 2005-11-28 21:10:00 for a start ......dont bother installing norton......it's not the best and certainly not worth paying for.........oh.....damn if too late then maybe you have already paid for it.........try this..........boot from your xp cd then at the prompt press R .....this will give you a 'DOS' type screen it'll ask you which installation you want to log into type 1 then tap enter then it'll ask you for an administrator password here you should just tap enter........you'll now have a 'dos prompt' type in chkdisk /r and then tap enter..........(hopefully i've got the spellign right if not type help and it'll give you a list of commands - with the correct spelling lol) after that just remove the cd and hit the reset button you should be back in windoze then and then re-try your install drcspy (146)

408423 2005-11-28 21:30:00 Are you installing over an older version of the software?
Does the computer have any other issues?
Do you have admin privilages?

Norton is not the best anti-virus software avaliable, if you manage to get it installed, you will be back trying to find ways to speed your computer up.

I would say if you have had it less than two months, phone Norton and get a full refund.

Try an alternative NOD32 if you want the best or AVG if you want free.
