| 408363 | 2005-11-28 13:37:00 | After a couple of problems with my system and a sys restore this is the message I am getting on start up. From what I understand from intense googling this no drive and fasttrack message indicates that I need to go into the BIOS and disable the Promise Controller. As on my desktop there is a new hardware wizard wanting me to insert a cd for new hardware. I have been in the BIOS and can't find any reference to Promise in the Advanced Section. And to my knowledge I am non-RAID with dual HD's and do not have the disk that it is asking for. This wizard will not leave the desktop no matter what I try. So if anyone can help me correct this Promise seeing as how I am on the Fasttrack with no drive attached I'd surely appreciate it. :horrified ALIENWARE HIVEMIND ASUS P4PE/LAN/1394/SATA-UAY MOTHERBOARD INTEL PENTIUM 4 2.53GHZ 768K L2 CACHE 533MHZ FSB 768MB DDR PC2700 WESTERN DIGITAL 80GB HD&120GB HD Windows XP |
