408866 2005-12-01 08:21:00 1. Your an idiot

I was expecting that...

4. I like cheese

I wasn't expecting that...

3. Learn how to quote...

I was quoting several posts so I just left out the quote tags, made it easier.

1. It sure sounded like you were saying it was wrong to go to DVD
2. Learn to count, you have 5 points there, not 4
3. I like Cheese too

Lmao, You got me there.

Anyhow, you can highlight any text and wrap it in a quote box, Last one of the text (far right) modifiers above the window you type in.

408868 2005-12-01 08:39:00 Ah ok, I always just use the quick reply box on the forums and manually type quotes etc, I hate the extra clicks for the other window lol.

Maybe they could do what some australian mags do, have a CD and a DVD option...or when you make your subscription you can choose whether you want a CD or DVD? That might be a problem for people who buy it in a shop, so maybe shop bought = CD and subscription = choose between the 2?

408869 2005-12-01 08:47:00 If the average home user is using a computer just for email and occasional web browsing, they won't be interested in what's on the flaming CD, DVD or 78rpm record for that matter.

Ah no. Theres all the browsers and stuff on it too. So they might want to try a new one out...

408870 2005-12-01 08:56:00 I dont fix many computers, maybe 2 per week, 99% would be less than 5 years old running XP. I would have to agree with Metla, not many PCs I visit have DVD drives installed

maybe shop bought = CD and subscription = choose between the 2?Great idea

408871 2005-12-01 09:03:00 Metla lives in Wanganui which is a low social economic zone that will explain why only five percent of his customers have a dvd drive. If most computers are sold underpriced according to Metla he must of sold a few of them as well, customers shouldn't be given the option of optical bays these days, dvd as standard. I am so glad I brought a overpriced mac many years ago when still the majority of windows pc's still don't have features that have been standard for years in the mac world, on the downside I still can't use anything thats on the bloody disc

408872 2005-12-01 10:46:00 There must be something wrong with my eyes. How come metla has posted only 676 posts? :waughh: ???!?!?!?!?!? Renmoo (66)

I live in a socio economic zone that makes Wanganui look like Beverly Hills and 95% of the homes own a standalone dvd player. So per capita income is logically not the reason.

408874 2005-12-01 10:52:00 We ran a filter over them and had all the stupid ones removed, Not to worry though, plenty more where they came from.

Just lucky it wasn't a spelling filter, i would be down to 3......

408875 2005-12-01 11:44:00 I live in Christchurch, people here buy anything they want even if they cant afford it, still most computers I see only have a CD.

Any new computers I sell have DVD burners
