409012	2005-11-30 16:40:00	whenever I start or restart my PC I have to disable and then enable my keyboard to get it to work. Can anybody help me here as to why this might be.....cheer's :help:	nfzagro (9336)
409013	2005-11-30 17:20:00	Welcome to PressF1 Can you provide some more details please. What sort of connection does the keyboard use - USB or PS/2? Is it a wireless keyboard? What exactly are you doing when you "disable" the keyboard? If you don't do this, does Windows start still or it is just the keyboard which doesn't respond? Do the keyboard lights briefly flash during startup?	Jen (38)
409014	2005-12-01 05:34:00	ahhh sry, its ps/2. And yes windows starts ok then I have to go into control panel/system/hardware and then disable it thjere and then straight away I enable it again and the waring sign has then gone from my keybord in device manager and I am able to use it. Once I reeboot though I have to go into contrl panel again etc. I also checked in the bios to see if keyboard was enabled and it is. The keyboard is called a Standard 101/102 key Natuarl ps/2 keyboard. I hope this info helps..thankyou for your's.	nfzagro (9336)

409016	2005-12-02 02:19:00	If your mouse is PS/2 as well, try disabling "Legacy USB support" in the BIOS. It might be expecting for a USB keyboard. If the legacy support is already disabled, try enabling it. :D USB is not fully understood by manufacturers yet. (It won't be until it's obsolete). Odd things happen.	Graham L (2)
409017	2005-12-02 05:24:00	Hello Firstly try the keyboard on another computer to see if this happens also, if when you reboot the computer you need to enable it again in Device Manager. If not, then it has something to do with your computer.	Albert (482)
