409734 2005-12-04 09:27:00 Thanks guys
I have done the system restore toggle now too.

I'll take a look at the spyware security utilities in the next day or so.

I'm a little stunned as to how agressive and really stupid the concepts behind things like spyaxe are.
How anyone could hope to sell to me or extort from me with such a thing is something I cant grasp. If most of the solutions werent available freely I'd suspect a conspiracy.
Is malware like spyaxe illegal?
What if anything is being done about it?

The $64,000 question
More is being done now to punish these toerags with stiff jail sentences being handed out to those caught.
But the problem is so big and so easy to do that they won't even make a dent in it

I did'nt spot this before but your Norton has got corrupted (the missing file is the clue).

O3 - Toolbar: Norton AntiVirus - {42CDD1BF-3FFB-4238-8AD1-7859DF00B1D6} - C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton Antivirus\NavShExt.dll (file missing)

You will have to uninstall, reboot and reinstall Nortons..
