| 410254 | 2005-12-05 00:40:00 | Installed the VIA chipset drivers before installing the Audio driver. The very first time, the installation was completed OK. but after restarting, there isn't any sound, checked Device Manager and found that the device is disabled. Enabled it, restarted but still no sound. This time went to Device Manager to check, there is an ! mark before the device. Uninstalled and reinstall the driver but installation halted at 94% and couldn't go any further. What shall I do next? |

| 410257 | 2005-12-05 01:46:00 | I take it you have this driver: Cmidia AC'97 Codec Drivers V5 . 12 . 01 . 0032 for 9x/Me/2K/XP Remove the device in the device manager . Reboot . It should find new hardware, I would cancel out of all this untill you get to the desktop . Then run the . exe file . If that dosent work try here ( . cmedia . com . tw/e_tech_01 . htm" target="_blank">www . cmedia . com . tw), here ( . realtek . com . tw/downloads/dlac97-2 . aspx?lineid=5&famid=12&series=8&Software=True" target="_blank">www . realtek . com . tw) or here ( . google . com/search?lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=AC'97" target="_blank">www . google . com) |
