| 409931 | 2005-12-04 08:02:00 | Hey I am wanting to add another 512mb of ram to my current 512. I opened my computer to look at what kind my dual 256's were and they are Legend DDR400. If i bought 2x www.dse.co.nz will I be running at full potential all be running slower due to inferior equipment? I am also getting confused with all this PC stuff for example " DSE 256MB DDR RAM PC400 256MB PC3200" Is the first PC like DDR400 and the second is for somthing else? I did some research and I am sure that my current ram is PC3200 DDR400????? I am confused beyond belief. |

| 409932 | 2005-12-04 08:17:00 | DSE 256MB DDR RAM PC400 256MB PC3200: This is 256mb of DDR RAM that runz at 400mhz and has a 3.2 GB/sec bandwidth (3200 mb/s). This is the latest type of DDR ram (DDR2 is the next type of ram). You're computer should be better with the extra 512 because, as far as i can see, you aren't using "inferior equipment". |

| 409933 | 2005-12-04 08:39:00 | Also is it better if I have 4x 256 or 2x 256 & 1x 512. I just keep hearing this dual channel crap. | Warhog (7975) | ||

| 409935 | 2005-12-04 08:47:00 | depends on the processor as to whether it can handle dual channel or not, i know that socket 754 doesnt support dual channel | Tux (606) | ||
