409925 2005-12-04 05:42:00 I have xp sp2 installed & updated ect. The network connection drops out whenever it wants with no warning. The system needs restarting before it'll go again.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled the network driver, crapcleanered it, adawared it, no adwared it, file fragmentation is 1%, regeditxp shows nothing, looked in the events viewer & nothing I can find.

Any ideas?

409927 2005-12-04 07:57:00 Hmmm, more details required. When did this problem start to befall your computer? Did you recently install something that resulted this mishap? Do you have a firewall on your computer? You didn't mention anything about antivirus; did you perform any AV scan? What is the model / serial-number of your network card?

Cheers :)

409928 2005-12-04 08:05:00 Did you enter the ip addresses in manually, not use the network wizard?

If XP is on both.

No Adware??? That is spyware.
Run Spybot, nod32 as well.
And try doing a repair install of XP if all else fails. That'll fix it. So long as you're sure all the malware is gone.
