409838 2005-12-03 09:18:00 Hi,

I tried downloading a software for my computer that allows me to put pictures from my mobile phone to my computer but it says there is a problem with downloading and connection had to be reset. What is the problem and what can I do about it?

Thanks

409839 2005-12-03 12:07:00 Hello Michael. I guess we might need more information from you. What software are you talking about? What is the model number of your Nokia phone? How does it connect to your computer? Via bluetooth, USB, infrared etc? Have you tried re-installing the whole program again? Are you sure your phone is perfectly compatible with the software?

Cheers :)

409840 2005-12-03 22:35:00 My phone is a Nokia 7610 and it didn't come with a CD so I tried to download the software of the website. It connects through a USB cable which I have. The software is needed to download the pictures from my phone to my computer but my computer says it needs the software otherwise it can't get the pictures in. I looked on the website and it said that the software I was trying to download was the software I needed. The website I tried to download it from is www.nokia.co.nz.

Thanks

409842 2005-12-04 02:10:00 Have you tried using another USB cable? Are you sure that your computer can support USB (sounds like a dumb question to me :P)? To be frank, my knowledge regarding cellphones is pretty limited. :o

Cheers :)

409843 2005-12-04 04:36:00 The USB cable is the right one because it came with the phone and it says that my computer should be able to use it. Michael8 (7034)
409844 2005-12-04 07:50:00 Well, the USB cable that came with the package might be "stuffed"; you just never know. Have you attempted to connect your phone to your computer via another USB cable? This is just to make sure that the problems doesn't lie on the faulty USB cable. Heed my advice.

Cheers :)

The website I tried to download it from is www.nokia.co.nz.So the problem is getting the Nokia software from the nokia website and installing it on your computer, and the issue is not between moving software between your computer and phone?

I had a look on the Nokia website, and they have a Nokia PC Suite which seems to be what you need: PC Suite (www.nokia.com.au). Is that the software you are trying to download? When the connection was "reset" was this before or after clicking on accepting the disclaimer window that pops up?

409846 2005-12-05 08:40:00 The connection reset appeared when I was downloading and the PC suite is what I am trying to download. The PC suite 6.6 is the one I'm trying to download. No other USB that I have can fit into my phone so I can't do anything about that but I don't think that it is the USB cable that has the problem because the computer notices the phone when it is plugged in the computer through the USB cable, it just says need software or something like that. 409847 2005-12-05 08:45:00 So when you go here (www.nokia.com.au) and click on the English download, does the disclaimer window pop open? If it does and you click "agree" the download starts normally, then cuts off? Jen (38)
