Have been using Ontrack Powerdesk 5 For shuffleing files around but that machine has died and I cannot recover that program for the replacement. I particularly like the split screens and the ability to look at two partitions and move files. So, what is the best FREE program for replacing File Explorer in Windows. Free would be good. cdn.pressf1.pcworld.co.nz |

Try xplorer2 or QDir. Used xplorer2 for many years. |

I use Double Commander. It may not be as good as Total Commander, but it's free. |

I mainly use Q-Dir .Having 4 panes open is very handy for transferring files.
