| 1394747 | 2015-02-21 03:39:00 | I have 6x 24" monitors. All support HDMI and will be fed by an R9 290 GPU. - 3 are used on my main desk for general day to day stuff. - 3 are used on a sim rig for racing etc. What I want to do is mirror the 3 on the desk to the sim rig so I can keep one eyefinity desktop but use it in two different locations at different times. I imagine I need an HDMI splitter of some sort but I can't find anything that supports 3 HDMI inputs splitting to 6 HDMI outputs. The other option would be using a Displayport adapter to 3 of the monitors but I can't find anywhere to buy one with HDMI outputs. I'd like to avoid using heaps of different adapters if possible. Has anyone done something similar? And where can I buy adapters locally? Cheers! |

If so surely you have Windows mirror the displays (assuming my understanding of eyefinity if correct in the sense it tricks windows into seeing single high resolution panels as opposed to multiple screens). | icow (15313) | ||

My GPU can support 6 monitors and it can either be controlled through the windows built in tool or through the AMD Catalyst Control Centre. All that stuff is easy, my problem is physically connecting the monitors. |
