| 1394598 | 2015-02-18 22:55:00 | I am using Windows 8 . 1 64 bit with all the recent updates installed . I attempted to load the game MotoGP 13 . This installed and created a shortcut to run the program on the desk top . When launching the game I get and error that vcomp100 . dll is missing . The program will not run . The suggestion was to reinstall the game . I ran the installation as a repair, uninstalled the game and reinstalled it . Restated the computer and the error is still there . Totally useless . [typical of so many computer games] I searched online for a solution . The problem pops up on various searches . Potential solutions directs you to third party sites that ask you to download and install a program that is supposed to fix this . Is this problem addressable without opening up the computer to malicious software? |

| 1394600 | 2015-02-19 01:29:00 | Thanks you for the reply to my post. I did download and run Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64). After the installation and restart the problem is still there. I already have the current version of Framework and Direct X |

| 1394602 | 2015-02-19 01:46:00 | Seen some programs that need a couple of features enabled in W8 /8.1 that are not there by default, yet were in previous versions of Windows, ( Live essential's for example Needs this other wise it wont work) Enable .NET Framework 3.5, heres how support.microsoft.com |
