A positive or negative review? Uploaded presumably to a publicly accessable site? I don't think it's illegal but if you upset them they may spit the dummy. | 1382143 | 2014-08-19 23:55:00 | I don't know the law regarding this but I'd think it might depend on what you say and how you say it. If you make it clear it's your personal opinion only it should be ok but if you make any statements as factual you'd need to be able to back it up if the company took exception to it. For example saying "I think it's complete junk and my test model lasted less than 5 minutes" is probably ok as it expresses an opinion and a personal experience but saying "this product is total crap and will die the fist time you use it" is a statement and conjecture so you could possibly have some issues with the company. Most likely if you piss someone off they would start but demanding you take it down and threatening legal action - as long as you comply that should be the end of it. Depends on the company and what you say of course. |

Presume the same goes for the service as well? What I wanted to review and upload was about a house. we got a house built, paid premium price and 5 months later, cracks in the wall, water leakage, drive away cracking up and other issues and the company that had built it had just washed their hands off it and not responding. I have all these on vid with dates, etc...my lawyer is looking into it. but once I started doing my research into the company online (which I should have done prior to choosing them) and I found out that others have had similar issues with this company. they are quite a known company and I wanted to share my side of the story so that others are aware of it and if possible don't end up in our situation. once I have uploaded the video, I plan to send the link to that company as well so that they can explain as well if they choose...fair playing ground... |
