OK, it won't get you into prison, but it may get the perpetrator or their lackeys into parliament. Just another brick in the dodgy wall. A party with ethics (in the unlikely event one should appear) would be very seriously handicapped. (For political purposes, having a neighbour with a lisp and a knowledge that Essex was a brand of car is near enough.) ;) |

| 1381761 | 2014-08-16 22:21:00 | You can watch it all here from back in 2011. Easy: www.youtube.com I'm no lawyer but that doesn't appear illegal to me. "I'm not hacking - look no https ..." Seriously? In any case, the law does not require anything to be broken into - only accessed without being authorised to do so. Yes indeed it is a piss poor situation that should never have happened, however knowing what that data is (which he clearly does) and accessing and (more importantly) obtaining and subsequently using it, I think, clearly contravenes the computer crimes laws (wording posted by ruup on page1). If that had been a US server, he could well be up for extradition and then John would have to choose which mates were worth more to him (I'm guessing he'd beef hooked ;) ). |
