| 411097 | 2005-12-08 09:49:00 | For some reason, for the last few weeks now, my computer is eating up my RAM! I have a Dell P4 2.2GHZ with 1GB RAM, 3 hard drives (2 in an external firewrire enclosure) for a total of over 560GB - that is my comp specs. I run, generally AOL, a few IE browsers, Front Page, a couple of Notepad instances, and here and there Photoshop, and my RAM is always after a few hours of use hovering of upwards of 800MB and by night time I can surpass my 1GB of RAM to start using virtual memory! Has anyone have an idea how I can figure out what is causing this or how to prevent this. Thanks, -Phill |
