| 411042 | 2005-12-07 19:31:00 | I have a problem connecting my Windows XP PC to my Television through S-Video. I just bought a brand new S-video cable yesterday, attached it to the Graphics card S-Video "out" port and to my Television S-Video port. I turn on the computer and I go into Properties/settings and I only see one monitor there. When I go into "Advanced" and go to my Graphics card settings, under "nView display settings" and I select "TV" from the drop down list. After I click "Apply", my monitor powers off, and my TV gets a blank/black screen for 15 Seconds, then it goes back to my S-Video Signal "Blue" screen. After the TV screen goes back to normal, I can't get my monitor back on and I have to reboot the computer. I've tried changing resolutions to 640 X 480, but still end up with the exact same results. I have also tired using an AVI video (the yellow one) to connect my PC to another TV with AV-"only" inputs, and I STILL get the same problem on THAT TV. So that tells me that the problem doesn't have to do with the TV or the S-video cable. I have installed S-video on other PCs and laptops to several other TV'S and they worked fine, but for some reason I can't get my own PC to work. I have an NVidia Geforce2 64MB card, and am using a Samsung TX-R2735 Television. Could somebody PLEASE help me find a solution!!! |

| 411043 | 2005-12-07 19:43:00 | Question: Are these later Nvidia drivers for your video card? Question 2: Is the TV Format on the video card driver settings set to PAL (PAL-B to be precise)? Question 3: Have you tried TVTool (tvtool.info) ? Disclaimer: I haven't used a Nvidia card for years ;) |

I've got a PC hooked up the my TV at the moment and it detects it straight away. i.e as soon as PC turned on the BIOS screen etc appears on the TV. I didn't have to do anything with the video card drivers on the PC. |
