| 410709 | 2005-12-06 20:03:00 | Ok I have been fighting with a system for a while now and just have one issue left with it that I can not for the life of me figure out. I am running win98 se and installed a creative labs SoundBlaster card but I get no sound. I looked under device manager and under SB PCI Legacy Device (in the Sounds, video games, and game controllers) it had a yellow exclaimation point. Here is the error that it gave me "CONGIGMG.VXD device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver. (Code 2) I have uninstalled and reinstalled the SoundBlaster drivers multiple times, I have rebooted into safe mode and removed the devices under sounds, video games, and game controllers, and I have extracted the configmg.vxd file from the cab files on the win98 se cd and put in in the system folder. |

| 410714 | 2005-12-06 21:49:00 | tick "use LPT sharing" or disable the SB16 emulation otherwise it disables the DMA for the hardrives and cd drives. also with some systems it pays to enable "memory hole 15-16m" in the bios. | tweak'e (69) | ||

It may have a later version of this file in it, once it installs . |
