410500 2005-12-06 00:56:00 I'm looking at a new LCD monitor for my computer and am wondering whether it is worth getting a 19" monitor over a 17" monitor.
I have heard the 19" monitors have poor viewing angles, ghosting problems and a low maximum resolution - but they may have fixed these problems now.
My questions are: Does anyone own a 19'' LCD screen? Is it good/would they recommend it? What brand/model?

410501 2005-12-06 01:10:00 19" LCD's now seem to be more much more advanced than 17". If you look at the stats of a 19", a lot have better contrast/response time than the 17" of the same version. mejobloggs (264)
410502 2005-12-06 03:15:00 I have a BENQ FP937S+ 19" LCD. Mine, my collegues and my CEO are all happy with it's performance. KiwiTT_NZ (233)
410503 2005-12-06 03:27:00 I've read somewhere in the PCWorld magazine stating that two 17" LCD monitors are cheaper than getting one standalone 19" monitors. I think the magazine was talking about Samsung brand in particular (sorry, I've forgotten which issue :o ). With two 17" LCDs, you can have a bigger view.

Cheers :)

410509 2005-12-06 07:38:00 You could consider a Dell1905FP ultra sharp 19" monitor, by all accounts has recieved good reviews overseas and is only $655 as an on line special for I think the next 3 days. tutaenui (1724)
