| 411014 | 2005-12-12 12:27:00 | I have Leadtek 6800 full unlocked and got a 3Dmark03 score of 9200, and 3Dmark05 score of 4100... I don't realy care about that score, most important is that i run games fine... and everybody who making fun of this graphic card - i got it new for 140 euros so for that money graphic card working perfectly. And when is unlocked and overclocked it's MUCH better than 6600GT... | Brksy (9386) | ||
| 411015 | 2005-12-12 18:49:00 | Yes I'm a bit like you, those 3D mark scores don't worry me as my games run ok. Is there a differance between a 6800 LE and a 6800 LE TDH. Trevor :) |

I have an x800xl card and with it set to defaults get a score of 14/15,000 With the card set to maximum everything (the way I use it) the score is in the 7/9000 range |

| 411019 | 2006-01-10 04:27:00 | I just did it with Riva Tuner. 16 Pipelines didn't work out, my screen goes all funny in games. Like the site said it might happen. Now it's a 12 Pipeline and 6 Pixel Vertexes (whatever they called) havn't tried benchmarking yet. Is there a way to get it to 16 pipelines and working perfect? Thanks Umm.... if they dont work then they cant be fixed. They're disabled for a reason, if the extra pipelines worked nVidia would sell it as a 6800GT. |

Nope your wrong, as the 6800GT has much faster DDR3 ram, with 16 pipes enabled its would still be around 30% slower ish! than the 6800GT. |

You can stick whatever sort of memory you want with the chip. If it had 16pipelines enabled but with only a DDR1 memory interface it would still be a 6800GT, just with a DDR1 memory interface. The memory interface doesn't define what sort of core is used on the card. Why the hell would nVidia go to all the effort of designing a card with 12 pipelines, but leaving 4 other pipelines intact? They didnt, the chips are purely 6800GT's that have defective pipelines, and instead of throwing them in the rubbish bin, nVidia disables some pipelines and sells them as 6800LE's. Its the oldest trick in the book and both nVidia and ATI do it, ever wondered what a x800XL is? Its just a x800XT that has defective pipelines. To sell a card under the 6800GT monkier there are certain features the card has to have, one of which is a DDR3 memory interface. If you were to rip the heatsink of a 6800LE and a 6800GT i bet you'll find the same core ;) |

| 411022 | 2006-01-11 06:54:00 | Lol you fool. You are 100% correct about pipes and core, thanks for the lesson on how cores are manufactured, never knoew that..... (scarcasm) Where you are wrong is, you can never make a 6800LE as fast as a 6800GT DDR3 ram is substantially faster. DDR1 Native speed on the Le is 700MHZ, DDR3 on the 6800GT is 1000MHZ, this translates into very real speed advantages for the GT, why the HELL else would they bother putting ram on the GT that was double the cost (duh). Both card memory speeds can be overclocked to similar percentage gains so this is a mute point By all means Google this yourself, prove me wrong. The LE will always be the down syndrome cousin of the GT, however has a good price/performance ratio. |
