| 410541 | 2005-12-06 06:24:00 | Hi Forum, New member, first post... I get the following error - Task "Virgin-Receiving' reporte error (0x800CC0F): 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administratr or internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: +OK 6191 bytes' - when I try to send/receive emails through my virgin.net email account. This only occurs when my Orange dual GPRS/3G data card is present on my laptop. When I de-install this data card, I'm able to receive my emails OK. Sending emails through this account works OK with this data card installed. What I'd like is to be able to send/receive email without having to deinstall / reinstall teh data card. Please help. |

I don't know anything about GPRS cards, but is it possible it is changing the settings when it is connected? This MS article may help as well - How to troubleshoot error messages that you receive when try to send and receive e-mail in Outlook and in Outlook Express (support.microsoft.com) |

| 410543 | 2005-12-08 09:14:00 | Thanks Jen. I've now sorted out the problem after much hair pulling. It traspired that the accompanying software that comes with the GPRS card was getting in the way of outlook. I de-installed it and I'm working OK. The BTW.. The MS article is a load of general pointers that lead to dead ends. | labidek (9373) | ||
