411621 2005-12-09 23:02:00 I want to convert (not format) my FAT partiton drive to FAT32 by using norton partition magic 8. Am I going to lose all my datas in that drive during the process. polo (6383)
411622 2005-12-10 01:42:00 Generally no, HOWEVER theres no such thing as 100 perfect bug free software.

So do make a backup of your most important files IF you feel you may lose something.
Partitionmagic when converting Fat to Fat 32 has generally been relatively bug free though.

Also what operating system are you using?
If you using and OS older than Windows 98 then forget it. They do not support Fat32 AT ALL (windows 95c does, but its flaky).

I assume you are using Win98. Go to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools and you will find a program in there to convert to Fat32

411627 2005-12-10 10:05:00 partition magic would handle that chore with ease............ drcspy (146)
411628 2005-12-10 10:32:00 well firstly PM problerly would cost more than what the pc is worth LOL. 2nd, winME should be on fat32 allready and lastly if i remeber correctly there is often a fat-fat32 converter built into windows in 98 and me. tweak'e (69)
