411967 2005-12-12 08:13:00 If u have a videocard with video in, you could plug the video out from the video to video in on the videocard.

Or if u have a tv tuner inside the PC case, you could plug the video out from the video, to video in on the tuner. And use the tv tuner program to record the video.

411968 2005-12-12 08:21:00 yea my graphics card does have video in but how do i get sound as well i have a sound blaster live 24bit special edition. is there a progrm that will make it more easier? dconline (9267)
411969 2005-12-12 08:29:00 You would plug the sound into line in on the soundcard from audio out on the video. To record the sound. (if the video is only mono, it'll be mono once its recorded).

Umm, you could try virtualdub (http://www.virtualdub.org/)

I think this can record video/audio. You just have to try and configure it. I dont know whats in it, I dont use it.

411970 2005-12-12 08:34:00 Yes, Virtual Dub will do the trick nicely :) Chilling_Silence (9)
411971 2005-12-12 08:41:00 All I do is use Windows Movie Maker to capture the video and audio, then use Nero Vision Express to burn, works very well and couldn't be any simpler, although it does take a while. Dak (6610)

Yes that is what I'm going to do one day. Got all the gear to do it just have to get my A into G  I'm an aviation enthusiast and have alot of aviation tapes taken off TV over the last 20 or so years that I want to put on DVD.
