411654 2005-12-10 09:03:00 Hello members

This foolowing is my machine: Intel Pentium 4, 2400 MHz (18 x 133)
Motherboard Name Albatron PX865P (Pro) / PX865PE (Pro) / PX865PEL-800 / PX865PE Lite (Pro) Motherboard Chipset Intel Springdale i865PE
System Memory 1536 MB (DDR SDRAM) BIOS Type Award (03/01/04)

On some occasions it seems that the unit is getting hoter and the fans start "screeming". The interior has been cleaned of the dust regularly,so it could not be that.
I think it is time to upgrade the fans as they are to noisy and are at least two years old and work at least 40hr/w.
Could any of you help me finding very quite fans for the mobo/and a new quite power supply.

Very much appreciated.

What fans? Case fans? CPU fans?

Good morning
there are only two of them as much as I can see; the CPU fan and the power supply fan.

411657 2005-12-10 18:54:00 Your comp 'should' have at least a big case fan at the back of the case (where there's a large grill/holes in the case), this is more likely the fan that makes the most noise... next the power supply fan (small grill/holes top back of the case). Shortcircuit (1666)

You should have at least one case fan if not more for coolong.
But check out those links I gave you - get a decent PSU, and another fan for the CPU - the SilenX range are very quite but don't go too low on the RPM for a CPU fan.

411659 2005-12-11 03:01:00 Thank you guys
The only fans in the machine is the PSU fan and the CPU fan. There is no othe case fan.
And I will upgrade both straight away.
Also thanks PCTEK for the links-and I am looking forward to quiet working!!!

Keep up your good work!!!

411660 2005-12-11 09:56:00 The interior has been cleaned of the dust regularlyCleaned how? If you're using a vaccuum cleaner you want to be sure to hold the fans static so that they don't burn out their bearings. Greg (193)
