| 411654 | 2005-12-10 09:03:00 | Hello members This foolowing is my machine: Intel Pentium 4, 2400 MHz (18 x 133) Motherboard Name Albatron PX865P (Pro) / PX865PE (Pro) / PX865PEL-800 / PX865PE Lite (Pro) Motherboard Chipset Intel Springdale i865PE System Memory 1536 MB (DDR SDRAM) BIOS Type Award (03/01/04) On some occasions it seems that the unit is getting hoter and the fans start "screeming". The interior has been cleaned of the dust regularly,so it could not be that. I think it is time to upgrade the fans as they are to noisy and are at least two years old and work at least 40hr/w. Could any of you help me finding very quite fans for the mobo/and a new quite power supply. Very much appreciated. Gion |

| 411657 | 2005-12-10 18:54:00 | Your comp 'should' have at least a big case fan at the back of the case (where there's a large grill/holes in the case), this is more likely the fan that makes the most noise... next the power supply fan (small grill/holes top back of the case). | Shortcircuit (1666) | ||

Gion You should have at least one case fan if not more for coolong. But check out those links I gave you - get a decent PSU, and another fan for the CPU - the SilenX range are very quite but don't go too low on the RPM for a CPU fan. |
