| 412307 | 2005-12-13 00:44:00 | if the samsung wouldnt burn, then you should have returned it. i've sold/setup about 50 this year - only 1 faulty - returned for another -ok. It was a present from overseas - it would have been too much trouble to send back. |

| 412309 | 2005-12-13 08:22:00 | It was a present from overseas - it would have been too much trouble to send back. that's fine, but 1 faulty among 100s doesnt mean they'll all crap. you take a risk with any brand. as it is burners are dirt cheap, get it from a shop where it's easy to return if faulty, make sure you get a printed (not written) invoice, stating 1 yr wty, with serial no on it. keep the box & all bits with it - they may dispute a return. a guy at the warehouse tried to return something (wasnt faulty) with no packaging & kept the manuals etc, but wanted a full refund - duh, so they only gave him half the money back - all of us pissed off in the queue all happily smiling away. |

| 412310 | 2005-12-13 10:44:00 | I wouldnt touch LGs... and Samsung (While I own a DVD/CD-RW Combo and a Dual-Layer DVD+/-RW Drive) are cheap stuff! I would _much_ prefer now to have forked out an extra $10 and got something that'll be of much better quality, like Asus, Pioneer, Sony etc |

| 412312 | 2005-12-13 19:04:00 | oh sure.......the savins quoted make me laugh........reccommended retail price $111...Lmfao.....the $45 ACTUAL price is about right and competitive with other retailers selling similar drives........that stuff about 'saving $68' is nonsense hhahahah.......NO ONE could sell cdrw drives for over $100 now-a-days..... btw..........I've installed a few asus drives too and had no probs with em........asus, as far as mtherboards are concerned anyway, are HIGHLY regarded..... |
