| 411682 | 2005-12-10 17:20:00 | Trendchipaway Virus Guard protects my boot sector from viruses. At startup, I get a error msg saying that a boot virus has been detected by Trendchipaway Virus Guard. But It does not say how to remove it but I can continue normal start-up. In my pc, I use Mcafee IS 8 to remove viruses. At the moment it detects none. How do I remove boot virus. I am running win xp pro. Plz help. | polo (6383) | ||

| 411685 | 2005-12-10 19:43:00 | Trendchipaway; is a boot sector virus checker that is built in to some BIOS ver's As Speedy G said " I don't think its that reliable." not many are. I'd disable it ( in the BIOS setup ) long as you have McAfee updated with latest Virus def's I would believe what it tells you, I think you can set McAfee to do a full scan on boot up (should be in the settings) try that. If it says you are virus free then I'd say you are:) |
