i was wandiring if anyone could help me with this problem, basically i have a toshiba laptop wich i was updating by sound drivers from the web site and it all went wrong. i got a dreaded blue screen and when my system rebooted i got system32/drivers/isapnp.sys corrupt message and was instructed to use my windows xp start disk and press r for the repair but the pc only came with a recovery disk that formats everything and leaves the factory settings. i REALLY dont want to do this! upon exiting the recovery disk menu i can accsess a form of dos but cant find the c: drive only a ms-ram drive with the recovery disk in fo on it and major dos functions i.e xcopy. it all went wrong at about 4 am and now at 11.30 am i give in. PLEASE SOME ONE HELP ME!

412595 2005-12-14 11:47:00 Why?? Do you need to borrow someones XP disk to get to the recovery consol.

Maybe the toshiba disc will have the option to get to the recovery consol/command prompt.

You could try a boot floopy if you have a floppy drive.
