| 412448 | 2005-12-13 20:43:00 | I have a HP Pavilion 564a running WinXP Home, I am trying to put SP2 on it from the SP2 cd, it loads the files then it asks if I agree, then it starts checking my configuration, this goes on for at least 1/2 hour without the bar indicator changing, then after 1/2 an hour an error box comes up with "Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf Make sure that the Cryptographic service is running on the computer". I have checked this and the service is running, I have tried this about 5 times now and the same error happens, I even turned off the startup items in case something was blocking it, I have ran tests with updated Spybot, Adaware, CWShedder, AVG, Microsoft Antispyware and removed all that was found, I have ran CCleaner but still can't get SP2 on it. Can someone offer any advice. |
