413476	2005-12-17 12:05:00	I have been given a 8.6 Gig drive. 2g dos partition. 2nd partition 6.6gig. At bootup PC can see 8.6 gig Ok. With win 98 boot disk in floppy and loaded up ramdrive can only see 2gig partition. Unable using Fdisk to delete 6gig drive. Comes up saying unable to delete partition as logical drives on it. When I check both partitions 2gig set active dos. 2nd partition shows up as ext dos and full. No data in 6gig partition. Using disk editor 6gig shows as win 95 dos partition. 2gig as FAT 32 partition. I don't have a win 95 boot disk. Win 98 fdisk and format programs will only format 2gig section. Unable to delete 6 gig partition. Possible that it maybe formatted as NTFS. Any ideas o how to format as fat32 and see 8.6 gig	Advocar (1098)
413477	2005-12-17 16:59:00	I got this too a few days ago when I fdisk'd one that had room reserved for recovery. This was outta a factory-installed ME, which I consider the worst resource hog ever so I had no qualms about ruining the original system. Let me look..I have something called "kill-box" here somewhere.... www.bleepingcomputer.com and if this doesn't work, there's also "kill-disk" too which will take me a little longer to find.....let me know if you need it. 413479	2005-12-17 19:05:00	Boot disks can be downloaded from www.bootdisk.com When deleting partitions.. make sure you delete any logical drives first, then delete the extended drive	Myth (110)
413480	2005-12-17 19:14:00	A win 98 boot disk (fdisk) will delete that. As has been said, delete the logical drive first then the extended partition. If its NTFS it gives you the choice of delete non-dos partition.	pctek (84)
