| 413322 | 2005-12-17 00:32:00 | Hi, this is what I am considering. Good? www.antec.com After the cheap PSU that came with cheap case failed within 2hr or within 1hr from that particular power start-up. System is a basic unit for bro, micro ATX all in one mobo, SATA II drive, one floppy and one CDRW drive, one PCI 56k modem card or later it will be upgraded to wifi to use broadband, 512MB RAM one stick and AMD Sempron 2500+. Been thinking of this case and hopefully store can get refund or exchange or upgrade. Since good PSU are $150 with a few at $90 and this PSU and case is a tad over $200 which is near the top of his budget. But given a good PSU is $150 .. its not tooo bad. Thanks. |

How much important is it to have the case so the I/O panel is at the other end of the case vs the PSU .. so the CPU is not near the PSU?? its not important and very few have PSU's away from the cpu. the main thing is the cooling has been deighned properly, which of course is something you have to do, but a bad case certianly is harder to get good cooling. |

A very basic test is to run the comp for a short while then feel the outside of the case for areas that are hot, There should be none. |

I dunno maybe the house need to be burnt down before he will be something good. Its not a money issue either, he is just stingy. I just need a way to blow up this unit now too  |
