413155 2005-12-16 07:03:00 I am running Win 98SE and just recently when I view my emails from my Clear site & Hotmail sites respectively up comes the notification about the security certificates have expired !!! then it proceeds , once I have clicked continue, to go into to my emails. It is very, very annoying when this happens. Can ANYONE out there tell me HOW to fix this proiblem ????? Your help is very much appreciated.

It sounds as if you have an old version and you will need to upgrade to a more recent one.

You are thinking about cookies I think. Date and time is not relevant in this case.
Security Certificates are incorporated into the web browser and if it has expired the easiest solution is to upgrade the browser version.

413159 2005-12-16 09:52:00 i think that the problem is that when you point your browser at any SSL type site a security cert is sent from the server to the browser, a cert is valid for about a year, if the date on the computer is out by a lot then the browser thinks that the cert is too old. robsonde (120)

You could be quite correct about that robsonde, if IE6 is being used that could well be the problem.
