| 413580 | 2005-12-18 01:12:00 | I downloaded the latest PVR program for this tuner the other day . (Version 3 . 0 . 10 . 55), and version 5 . 13 . 1 . 279 of the drivers for it . I managed to install the drivers for the TV tuner, the TV side works fine . BUT it doesn't/wont load the drivers for the FM tuner thats onboard . Is anyone here, using this card, with the latest version of the program / and driver? And managed to get the FM tuner side of the program to work? I would say the drivers haven't been installed here coz an error pops up, saying this: FM Radio Device not found [Error Code: 80010007] The program still loads for the tuner, but thats it! Since no drivers are installed, you can't tune into any radio stations! I've sent an email to Leadtek, BUT I wont hold my breath, waiting for an answer! I've also got an Expert card, in the other PC here, with the same version of the program, but different drivers (that are for the Expert) . The TV and FM tuner work fine . I would try the Expert drivers, BUT they may screw things up completely! PS: If you do use the Expert or Deluxe tuner, whatever you do, DON'T use the Driver Uninstall Tool, on the Leadtek site . I used it, it not only removed the driver entries from the system, and the registry, it also killed half of what was installed lol (ie: USB/Modem/SMB Controller/Sound/LAN) . A few reboots tho, fixed this . |

| 413581 | 2005-12-18 02:03:00 | Thats a hard case, I used that same removal tool a while back and as you say it wiped out the entire device manager. Since then I have whacked it in my collection of useful tools, Gonna be very handy when it comes to corrupt XP installs. As to your issue, No idea but I noticed that guy you were helping a few months back contacted Leadtek and they got back to him within a few hours with a beta driver... Granted it was for a different issue but it shows they have good support. |

A few reboots tho, fixed this. I have the Expert card and it does everything I want it to do. I can't help you with the FM Tuner drivers, I've never used the FM feature. I have used the Leadtek Driver Uninstall Tool when I updated the drivers and had no trouble with it at all. Maybe I was just lucky.......can't claim any special expertise. I have to say though that the PVR update was quite a complex procedure and not helped by the confusing instructions. I'd hate to go through it again brig |

| 413583 | 2005-12-18 06:30:00 | Yup the drivers for the Expert are fine . Its the Deluxe drivers thats the prob . Everything on the Deluxe works, BUT the FM tuner . I havent used the FM tuner before either . I just wanted to record MP3's from it to see how good the songs were lol . BUT it doesnt look like this is going to happen yet . I also found out, its not a good idea extracting the downloaded PVR exe file . It'll crash when u go to run Winfast PVR lol . Since it cant (or doesnt create the Winfast Workarea folder, if u extract the files, then install) . Stuff knows why it can't (or won't create this folder whether you extract it or not)! I think its the version of the PVR program I downloaded (the latest version) . Since I reverted back to an old version of the drivers . It still didnt work . The new version must have something different in it (for the FM tuner) to load the drivers for it . Which aren't in the latest version of the drivers, by the looks of it . I'll have to check out the Leadtek ftp site, and redownload the previous PVR program, just for the deluxe . |

| 413584 | 2005-12-19 08:23:00 | Well I found out what the prob was . The latest version of the drivers (I would say), doesnt include the inf file / driver info for the fm tuner . So the FM tuner doesnt work . And it doesn't work with the latest version of the PVR program :badpc: I had to go back to the previous version of the program, and the latest version of the drivers . Both the TV tuner and the FM tuner work now . A bit back to front! So, if anyone is planning on getting the versions I posted previously for the Deluxe tuner . DON'T . If you want the tv and fm tuner to work . They wont . Leadtek should remove the latest v of the program until they release another more recent version of the drivers . They just dont like each other! |

| 413585 | 2006-07-22 10:48:00 | I went to the site of Leadtek in the UK, this is http://www.leadtek.co.uk/ then Support->Drivers-> USB Winfast II deluxe->Applications and i got the latest PVR software and the "Fixed Sound Issue" driver. To install the driver i downloaded the file and then control panel->system->Hardware->device manager->Sound, video and games controller->USB emp audio->update driver then i selected the driver from the file that i downloaded. Then i install the PVR software and it works fine. At the beginning it did'nt work. :angry now fine ! :cool: thank you guys! | diego (9435) | ||
