hey guys im having a problem with windows detecting my hard drive, im about to do a full format and reinstall on my 40gb hard drive, i have pluged in a 3.2gb hard drive to back up my photos and my mac os partition, the only problem is windows is not detecting my 3.2 gb, i have installed it properly, its slave my other is master, i have set it up in the bios and it detects it on boot, how can i make windows recognise it, and help before christmas eve would be really apreciated. :help: |

Has it been formatted? Does it show in the disk manager? |

it had windows xp on it so i used fdisk to delete the primary partiton and format c: to format it from dos |

Right click on My Computer and go to Manage, then Disk Management (under Storage). You can check the health/capacity etc of your HDD's and format from there if you need to. |

it says : healthy (eisa configuration) but its formatted as fat32 not ntfs how do i reformat it as ntfs? it also says it only has 700mb free space, im guessing that my earlyer format didnt work? |

i have just realised that what i was jest refering to was a partition of my 40gb, its a recovery partition, so no i can NOT see the smaller hardrive in disk managment |
