414512 2005-12-21 00:21:00 hey guys im having a problem with windows detecting my hard drive, im about to do a full format and reinstall on my 40gb hard drive, i have pluged in a 3.2gb hard drive to back up my photos and my mac os partition, the only problem is windows is not detecting my 3.2 gb, i have installed it properly, its slave my other is master, i have set it up in the bios and it detects it on boot, how can i make windows recognise it, and help before christmas eve would be really apreciated. :help: LXXXVIII (6863)

414518 2005-12-21 01:20:00 Right click on My Computer and go to Manage, then Disk Management (under Storage). You can check the health/capacity etc of your HDD's and format from there if you need to. pixeldust (6619)
414519 2005-12-21 01:32:00 it says : healthy (eisa configuration) but its formatted as fat32 not ntfs how do i reformat it as ntfs? it also says it only has 700mb free space, im guessing that my earlyer format didnt work? LXXXVIII (6863)

414521 2005-12-21 01:45:00 i have just realised that what i was jest refering to was a partition of my 40gb, its a recovery partition, so no i can NOT see the smaller hardrive in disk managment LXXXVIII (6863)
