414211 2005-12-20 10:30:00 Do any ISP's offer a temporary dialup plan for around a month that can be used anywhere in NZ?

Cheers.

414215 2005-12-20 20:58:00 If you are on ADSL, your ISP probably allows dial up access but at the dearest hourly rate. It may be worthwhile setting up another account. PaulD (232)
414216 2005-12-20 21:47:00 I have Paradise broadband, and they offer a backup dialup account for $2/hour (I think it's capped at $20 a month or something similar though). Definitely check with your ISP. pixeldust (6619)
414217 2005-12-20 22:05:00 It depends how much u gonna use, mine charges $2.50 per hour with no capped. Or else some charge $2 or prob $1 per hour.

The plans are prob better economic wise, Clear provides $13 for 150hr for instance. If you want it for one monthly then sign up and before the month cycle expire cancel it. Then what will happen is Internet will finish at the last day of ur cycle. Or what I will do is switch it back to the $2.50 plan and just don't use it so they won't bill you. When you back from ur holiday or whatever you can switch the plan back to $13 if you like or $20 odd dollar flatrate if you desire.. or similar approach with other isps.

414218 2005-12-21 05:51:00 Why don't you just use your current dial up from where ever you are. You only have to set up the computer that you are going to use with your own dial up name, phone number you ring in to, and password. Well I know Paradise does it, as I use mine sometimes on my daughters computer, and her address sure isn't here. supergran (108)
