| 414269 | 2005-12-20 17:19:00 | Ok here goes, I have just been upstairs sitting on my computer, happily designing away when i turned my computer off to go downstairs for a bit . I went downstairs and came back up . . . I turned on my computer and it is now displaying error message . " Corrupt File Windows\System32\Config\System " <- Somethign along those lines . I put the windows recovery disc in my driver and went through what i thought was the process to copy this file back to my hdd . It didn't work . I don't mind reformating except firstly I need the My Documents folder, it has some extremely important documents on it . So i tried to recover the My Documents folder . I took my HDD form my computer and put it in my Dads computer, it shows up and i can access it, but when i goto click on the folder, it says . . . " Is not accessible , Access Denied " Please Help Me! I need to either repair my Windows, could someone help me, or I need to access this folder! Please Help!! Thanks in advanced, Aston . . . . Thanks againhi cheeseball, Nest time sit in a chair, not on your computer; and try those steps you mentioned while in safe mode . |

| 414271 | 2005-12-20 18:13:00 | Yes sitting on the computer could cause physical damage to it. :D If your fix doesn't work - do a repair install. Boot off CD, choose enter to install at first choice, choose R to repair at the second. It won't affect your docs. |
