do i have a virus i am running Kaspersky anti virus and it hasnt picked up anything up,i heard that there is a virus that only affects xp home something to do with the security in windows anyway please help

Well it can be a lot of things, faulty RAm and stuff, but it could be related to what you installed for the network. Undo it and see if it fixes it.
