415810 2005-12-26 04:01:00 I notice on a lot of websites that I am asked to validate my download with PGP/MD5/GPG numbers (I think those names are correct). What are these, and how do I use them? mejobloggs (264)
415811 2005-12-26 04:13:00 They are a hash of the file and you can use them to verify the file is not corrupt or been tampered with.

Google for some programs to help you compare the hashes.

415812 2005-12-26 04:27:00 Nero has a program (www.nero.com) that verifies most of their downloads from the Nero site. Speedy Gonzales (78)
